Objetive: To develop a workshop based on design thinking and business model generation methodologies: i.e. identifying problems, needs, challenges and designing real, practical solutions with the user’s needs in mind.
Guest Expert: Karen Henken- United States
Lecturer Profile: Karen Henken’s work focuses on fostering social impact and system change through social innovation, strategic growth and entrepreneurship. Since 2003, she has served as the founder and principal of Henken & Associates, helping businesses and nonprofits develop market opportunities, partnerships, growth strategies and sustainable revenue models to expand their impact. Since 2014, Ms. Henken has served as a professor of practice at University of San Diego, teaching social innovation, design thinking and social entrepreneurship at the Kroc School and the School of Business. She is also a visiting professor at University of California San Diego Rady School of Business and in Colombia, working with 2 leading universities there.
